Taking classes with us...

American Heart Association Training Site offering certification classes to individuals and businesses in CPR, First Aid, BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Pediatric  CPR / First Aid to the greater Galveston area.   We also have a fantastic group of instructors that are located throughout the state and who are experienced healthcare providers.  These instructors are able to provide training at your facility, business or organization.  Call us at  409-497-2587 to arrange on site training.

Our customers are very important to us and their health and safety remains a top priority for us.  We are choosing not to cancel classes because most of our students require course completion to work.

We are taking steps to go above and beyond our normal cleaning procedures to keep our students safe.  Our classroom and equipment is routinely disinfected before and after all classes and skills sessions. We are responding to concerns about virus transmission by moving the seating positions in the classroom to give our students more physical space during class.  Hand sanitizer, masks and disposable gloves up to size large will be made available in the classroom as well.  You are welcome to bring your own CPR mask and pens to class.

Students are required to work in pairs for some skills sections and for that reason and to attempt to prevent transmission of any illness, any student that exhibits signs or symptoms of illness such as cold, flu or possible allergies will be asked to make alternative arrangements with us and will not be allowed to participate in our regularly scheduled class.

Which class do I need?

We know choosing the correct class can be confusing and we want to make sure you pick the right course for you. Your employer should be able to answer this for you if they require you to have a card.  You may also call us and we will do our best to help you decide which class you need.
Here is a rule of thumb: Do you have a healthcare license or are you a student trying to obtain one?  If yes, then you want BLS for healthcare providers.
Are you taking the class because you are a daycare worker, foster or adoptive parent? If yes, then you want Pediatric CPR & First Aid.
Does your employer require you to have CPR but you are not a healthcare provider such as EMT, Paramedic, or RN? If you do not have a medical license, then you would want to take CPR & AED.
Lastly, if your job requires you to be subject to US Coast Guard regulations (such as a boat captain), then you want CPR, AED and First Aid.
